Who We Are & What We Do
Hi Y’all, welcome to our homestead! My name is Nichole Hall. I am a blogger and modern day homesteader. My husband and I own and operate this small 3 acre farm, known as The Heritage Homestead. We come from a long line of farmers and enjoy being self sufficient. Beginners often ask us how to get started, what breeds of chickens they need, or how to fix their problematic garden. We show beginners the basics to natural living.
Like most small farms we make a living selling eggs, raising chickens, gardening and selling our produce at the local farmer’s market. On our blog you’ll find many articles teaching you specifics on how we approach each of these skills.
You’ll find our weekly podcasts to keep you learning while you’re on the road or in the garden. We also offer hands-on canning workshops once or twice a month, so be sure and check our schedule to register. Online courses for those who are not local and want a little more in depth learning experience are coming soon.
Lastly, we also make a living through affiliate links. This means you may stumble across advertisements for products we personally use and endorse. When you click a link and make a purchase, our homestead will receive compensation from the company for referring you, at no additional cost to you.
We hope you’ll stay and visit for awhile. For announcements on eggs, chicken sales, canning classes, online courses and our monthly newsletter please subscribe to our website. As a thank-you, you’ll receive 50 FREE recipes from our homestead to yours!
Sharing blessings, mason jars & chickens!
