If you’ve never had homemade pot stickers you are missing out!
Homemade pot stickers are one our favorite foods on the homestead. While we love traditional southern cuisine our next favorite is authentic Japanese food! For those of you who don’t know I (Nichole) used to live in Japan. We ate authentic Japanese food for FOUR AMAZING years!
Gyoza (GEE-OH-Za) is the actual Japanese word for these fabulous poppers. Our culture commonly calls them pot stickers, which may be the Chinese version. The main difference is gyoza is fried and pot stickers are steamed. Either way, eating these homemade dumplings are on our menu regularly
Eating Asian food stateside just isn’t quite the same. But we have a great homemade pot sticker recipe to make your mouth water at just the thought of cooking them. These aren’t gluten free, but they are dairy free so keep this in mind when you’re choosing which of our recipes to cook.
Also, this cuisine is high in soy as a lot of Asian foods are, so keep that in mind as well.
