Welcome to The Heritage Homestead
Where faith, family, and fresh food come together.
If you’re new here — hello, friend! I’m so glad you’ve found your way to our little corner of the world. I’m Sierra, and along with my husband and our two girls, we run The Heritage Homestead — a small, growing homestead in the heart of Texas with big dreams and even bigger gratitude to God for every step He leads us in.
What started as a simple desire to raise our family closer to the land has slowly grown into a vision:
🌾 to steward what we have well,
🐄 to care for animals in a way that honors God’s creation,
🥛 and to provide wholesome, nourishing food for local families who care about where their food comes from.

How Our Homestead Began
A few years ago, we felt the Lord nudging us toward a lifestyle that was slower, simpler, and more rooted. We wanted our girls to grow up barefoot in the grass, learning responsibility, compassion, and joy—not from screens, but from creation itself.
So we took the leap.
We sold our home in town, moved into a camper on raw land, and started building—literally and figuratively. God met us with grace at every turn. We built a home, fenced pastures, and welcomed cows, goats, sheep, chickens, and all sorts of blessings with four legs and personalities of their own.
What we have now is small, sometimes messy, often hard…but always worth it.
Our Cows & Raw Milk Herdshare
One of the sweetest parts of our homestead journey has been caring for our dairy cows. There’s just something special about walking out to the milking stanchion at sunrise, hearing the soft lowing of a cow who knows your voice, and bringing in fresh, creamy milk that feeds not only our family but many others.
Because we are not yet a licensed dairy (one day!!), we offer milk through a herdshare, which is basically a way for families to “buy in” and own a share of the herd. It keeps everything legal in Texas and allows you to enjoy the milk your cows produce.
We hand-milk our cows with care, keep them on pasture, and raise them the way cows were always meant to live. While we don’t exclusively have A2/A2 milk yet, we’re intentionally breeding toward an all A2/A2 herd as we grow. Our dream is to one day become a small, licensed micro-dairy serving our community with integrity and excellence.
What We Value
Here at The Heritage Homestead, everything we do comes back to a few simple, unshakable values:
Faith
We want our home, our land, our business, and our relationships to point back to Jesus. We are here to steward—not to own. To serve—not to be served.
Family
We believe childhood is meant to be spent outdoors—exploring, learning, and discovering. Homesteading has shaped us as parents and brought our family closer than ever.
Good Stewardship
Whether we’re milking cows, tending the garden, or gathering eggs, we want to do it intentionally, humbly, and with gratitude.

Community
Our heart is to build relationships with families who want to know their farmer. The homestead isn’t just “ours”—it’s meant to bless those around us.

Thank You for Being Here
We’re still small. We’re still growing. We’re still learning every single day.
But as we build fences, raise babies (both human and animal), expand our herd, and dream big dreams…the Lord continues to show us that the heritage we are building is more than a farm.
It’s a legacy.
And we’re honored to share it with you.
Welcome to The Heritage Homestead.
We hope you stay awhile. 🤍🌾
