SIERRA WINSLAGER
I’m Sierra Winslager — a homesteader, photographer, and writer who weaves my love for faith, family, and simple living into everything I create. On my homestead in Franklin, Texas, I raise Mini Jerseys, Mini Herefords, and Babydoll Southdown sheep while tending a thriving garden full of homegrown vegetables. With a passion for self-sufficiency, I mill my own flour and bake homemade bread, tortillas, noodles, and pancakes—keeping my family nourished with wholesome, handmade meals.
Through my photography business, I capture love and legacy, specializing in weddings, families, and branding with a heartfelt, down-to-earth approach. As I rebrand and expand into a team of photographers, I’m excited to offer even more—newborn, engagement, product, and studio photography, all with the same warmth and authenticity. On my blog and social media, I share glimpses of homesteading life, biblical encouragement, and creative storytelling—always with a little humor to make you feel at home.
With a heart for serving others, I also create digital products, homeschool Bible lessons, and engaging content for fellow homesteaders, moms, and dreamers. Whether I’m behind the camera, in the garden, or at the kitchen table, my desire is to glorify Jesus and help others build a life rooted in faith, family, and the beauty of everyday moments.

A Journey

Our journey to finding land in Franklin began with a dream: to have dairy cows and start a homestead where our family could thrive. We had no idea just how much God would provide in such a short time. Doors opened for us to not only buy the land but also build houses on it. My little family packed up our home in College Station, listed it, and moved into a camper while the dream unfolded.
Soon, we welcomed home our Babydoll sheep and my husband’s pride and joy—Ace, our first bull. From there, our homestead began to grow, and the rest is history!
In early 2024, we bought our own acreage just owtside of Franklin, TX.

In early 2019, we picked up our first breeding prospect puppy, Annie. We drove all the way to Idaho to get her.
